Inspect the Clutch Cover for any cracks or any defects on the surface where it mounts to the engine case

Remove the Brass Plunger

Remove the O-Ring

Remove the O-Ring

Remove the Oil Breather

Remove the Oil Breather

Inspect it for any blockage you should be able to blow through it with compressed air

Pull out the Clutch Arm

Pull out the Clutch Arm

Note the O-ring on the bottom of the arm. REPLACE this (it is a cause of Oil Leaks that ruins your moms driveway) It is included in you Engine Rebuild Gasket Set

Clean All the components with the degreaser of your choice (I prefer a parts washer with mineral spirits)

Here is that O-Ring we talked about pull it off with a pick and REPLACE it

  • The Clutch Arm has a matching shape
Install the Spring
  • Install the Spring
  • Hook one end around the tab on the Clutch Cover
Install the Clutch Arm making sure it lines up with the Inner Lever properly

Put it in the vice

Put it in the vice

Using the Spring Puller hook the other end around the tab on the Clutch Arm
